Get Money Smart: Real Money Talk Photo and Video Competition
Terms and Conditions
Get Money Smart Bahamas is encouraging all Bahamians to join the conversation about personal money management with its "Real Money Talk" Social Media Video Competition.
Entrants can submit a 30-60 second as a creative response to the following question:
What are you saving for?
In order to enter, participants must:
Upload their submissions to a personal Facebook page
Tag Get Money Smart Bahamas
Use two hashtags - #realmoneytalkcompetition and #getmoneysmartbahamas - in the description of their post.
Judges will be looking for the most creative and thought-provoking responses to the question posed.
There is no entry fee or purchase required. Only one submission is allowed per person.
The competition is open to Bahamian citizens who live in the Bahamas and residents of The Bahamas who are 18 years old or older. Void where prohibited.
Employees of The Central Bank of the Bahamas, Blue Orchid Advertising Agency, Colina Financial Advisors Limited (CFAL) and anyone otherwise connected with the Get Money Smart Bahamas campaign or judging of the competition are not allowed to enter.
By entering this competition, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions:
Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will ensure that all entries from that person are disqualified. Opening date is Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Closing date for entry is Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. After this date and time, no further entries will be accepted. Get Money Smart Bahamas does not accept responsibility for entries that its preliminary judging panel does not receive for any reason.
We encourage all entrants to like and follow Get Money Smart Bahamas on Facebook and to subscribe to the Get Money Email List on the website to receive contest updates, finalist notifications, judging opportunities and winner notifications.
Entrants should upload their creative pieces through Facebook using the hashtags #RealMoneyTalkCompetition and #GetMoneySmartBahamas.
Original poetry, prose, music, songs, and other forms of artwork are allowed as a part of your submission.
All video content must be the original work of the person submitting the entry.
Videos submitted that include the use of obscene language will be disqualified.
The prize money is $500 BSD in cash (or certified cheque).
Three finalists will be selected by members of a select committee that will include employees of the Central Bank of the Bahamas, Blue Orchid Advertising, and CFAL. Finalists will be contacted via Facebook by 5:00p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 and will be asked for their full name, email address, telephone number and any other personal identification details necessary to confirm their identity. The posts that feature their work will be re-posted by the Get Money Smart Bahamas Facebook page and Instagram account by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 once we have been able to confirm who they are. Get Money Smart will ask Facebook and Instagram users to judge the final three submissions between 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 and 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. A winner will be selected based on the number of likes that the top post receives.
The winner will be notified by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 by email and telephone. The winner’s name will also be announced publicly through social media as soon as he or she is notified. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and the person whose submission earned the second highest number of votes will be deemed the winner.
Get Money Smart Bahamas will confirm when and where the winner can collect his or her prize.
The winner agrees to the use of his or her name, image and entry in any publicity material (traditional and digital) related to the contest, the Get Money Smart Bahamas campaign, and the Central Bank of the Bahamas at any time. Any personal information of the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Bahamian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
All entrants agree to allow Get Money Smart Bahamas to feature his or her submissions on the Get Money Smart Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts and its website to promote the campaign.
